Many of us take our access to clean, running water for granted and rarely give a thought to the role fossil fuels play in delivering safe “drinking water” to our homes. Affordable energy is required to transport usable water to us – whenever we expect it – and travels through a complex network of pipes, distribution sources and high energy treatment plants constructed, or powered by, fossil fuels. #fossilfueled
